Filecoin(FIL) Hard fork upgrade, What does this means to traders?

Filecoin has recently undergone an update with the implementation of network version 19, also known as Lightning. The update includes several Filecoin improvement proposals (FIPs) that have been accepted for the network upgrade.

One of the accepted FIPs, FIP0060, reduces block validation costs by changing the built-in storage market actor’s deal maintenance interval from 1 day to 30 days. This change aims to alleviate cron execution demands and provide more time for the network to develop a permanent solution as deal growth continues in the Filecoin network.

Another accepted FIP, FIP0061, makes the generation of WindowPoSt challenges independent of the order of the provided sectors, which improves network security. This FIP also simplifies and improves multiple aspects of Proof-of-SpaceTime, making the process more efficient.

FIP0062 adds a no-operation handler to the multi-sig actor, enabling smoother interactions between multi-sig actors and account actors, and solving issues encountered with Wrapped FIL tokens on multi-signature wallets.

In addition to these improvements, a bug fix was also made to the sector activation epoch, and a two-stage rollout (nv19 and nv20) was proposed for the network upgrade.

For traders, the update may bring changes in the network’s performance and usability. It is important to stay informed about any updates or changes and adjust trading strategies accordingly.
